Disney Channel Original Halloween Movies!

A few weeks ago I posted about Halloweentown, one of Disney Channel's most popular Halloween films that spawned 3 more movies.

And just yesterday, I watched Disney Channel's most recent Halloween film, Invisible Sister.

This put me in the mood to write and share a list of all of Disney Channel's other Halloween films of the past and bring them back to light as a few of them, were also pretty great and I make sure to watch them every year if possible. I discovered that most are onDemand right now if you have Comcast Xfinity, and if you don't, of course check Netflix and all other areas; even YouTube has a couple of them.

My list will start with those most memorable for me. And of course, I'll include Invisible Sister.

Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire - Starring Caroline Rhea, Charles Shaughnessy (Mr. Sheffield from The Nanny) and Laura Vandervoort (currently starring in the werewolf drama, Bitten)

"Two children set their mother (Caroline Rhea) up with a mysterious man (Charles Shaughnessy), not realizing he may be one of the undead."

The Scream Team - Starring Kathy Najimy, Eric Idle, Tommy Davidson and Kat Dennings

"Three ghosts (Tommy Davidson, Kathy Najimy, Eric Idle) try to help two children after an angry spirit refuses to let their grandfather rest in peace."

Under Wraps - Starring Bill Fagerbakke, Adam Wylie, Mario Yedidia and Clara Bryant.

"Three 12-year-old kids discover a mummy in the basement of a "dead" man's house. It comes alive due to the conjunction of the moonlight during that time of the month. They discover that if the mummy is not put back in his coffin before midnight on Halloween, the mummy will cease to exist."

Phantom of the Megaplex - Starring Taylor Handley, Jacob Smith, Caitlin Wachs, Corinne Bohrer and movie legend Mickey Rooney.

"A theater employee wonders if a legendary spirit is up to its old tricks after a series of strange occurrences."

Now You See It - Starring Aly Michalka, Johnny Pacar and Frank Langella.     "While producing a reality TV show, a teenager (Alyson Michalka) meets a magician (Johnny Pacar) whose powers are real but put him in danger."

Girl vs Monster - Starring Olivia Holt, Katharine McNamara, Luke Benward, Brendan Meyer, Kerris Dorsey.

"With help from her friends, a savvy teen (Olivia Holt) must battle an immortal monster (Tracy Dawson) and her army."

**This movie also spun out a few catchy songs, which I will include below.

Invisible Sister - Starring Rowan Blanchard, Karan Brar, Paris Berelc and Alex Desert.

"Cleo's (Rowan Blanchard) science project goes awry when she accidentally makes her sister (Paris Berelc) invisible."

Invisible Sister was a kid's movie, a little cheesy, but still fun. Rowan Blanchard's character accidentally turns her sister invisible while working on a science project and they have til midnight the next day to fix the problem or she could end up invisible forever. The getting the sister un-invisible part takes a step back for crushes on boys, and the main girl learning to stand out in the crowd as she originally didn't and had to cover for her sister while invisible. They spend a bit too much time on the ancillary things so that when they need to create an anecdote, it's done within seconds like it was easy peasy for the characters no problem. Which was a bit unbelievable. The movie was filmed in New Orleans so I enjoyed the scenery and got swept away in the girls housing decor than to care too much about how too easy it all was for a few high school kids, especially when the invisible solution was created in accident to begin with. Not one of Disney Channel's best, but a fun one to watch anyway.

Other Disney Channel Original Movies to mention but I either can't remember or have not seen are....

Twitches & Twitches Too - Starring the Mowrey Sisters Tia and Tamara. I've see bits and pieces but apparently it never caught me enough to watch them in full. They were still popular though.

Twitches -> "Reunited on their 21st birthday, twin sisters (Tia Mowry, Tamera Mowry) use their magic powers to save their kingdom from the forces of darkness.

Too -> "Twin sisters (Tia Mowry, Tamera Mowry) who have magic powers uncover evidence that their missing father is alive".

Don't Look Under the Bed - I know I watched this, and I only vaguely remember it.
Starring - Erin Chambers, Jake Sakson, Eric "Ty" Hodges II, Robin Riker, Steve Valentine and Stephen Tobolowsky

"Frances McCausland (Erin Chambers), an intelligent and level-headed girl, is starting high school a year early. Strange things have been going on in her town of Middleberg: dogs appearing on people's roofs, alarm clocks going off hours early, eggs all over a teacher's car, gelatin in the swimming pool, and B's spray-painted all over town. The B's also appear on the school lockers—except for Frances', which has a B on the inside. These pranks seem to point to Frances, who doesn't understand what is happening or why. An older boy named Larry Houdini (Eric "Ty" Hodges II) offers to help Frances, telling her that he is an imaginary friend, which is proven true as children are the only other people who can see him. Larry tells Frances that she is being framed by the Boogeyman. Frances has a difficult time believing this, because she has tried to look at the world like an adult, using logic and facts to explain everything, since her little brother, Darwin, almost died from leukimia a few years before."
