My First Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

A few weeks ago I was able to cross one item off the bucket list, attending a Disney Parks Halloween Party and boy do I wanna go again!

If you don't know, a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a limited ticketed event that both Disney Land and Disney World put on on select dates from end of August through October. If you were to plan on visiting the park during the day, this would be an additional ticket you'd have to purchase.

I went to Disney World and the party only takes place in the Magic Kingdom portion of the park, the rest is closed but that was totally ok and still worth it. Lines were short or not at all, crowds were sparse, it was great! The party officially takes place from 7pm til midnight but Halloween party ticket holders can show up starting at 4pm and get a bracelet that lets the park employees know that you are there to stay the night. There is a different entryway as well, which you will be led to.

What I think I enjoyed the most were all the details. Special Halloween merchandise and snacks are released at 7pm, and as soon as that clock strikes 7, the lights are dimmed, fog starts flowing throughout the park and a spooky voice comes on the loud speaker welcoming you to the party. It's GREAT. You can also attend in costume and there is trick r treating around the park!

So besides all o' that, what makes a Halloween party different from simply attending the Disney park during the day? There are 3 special Halloween shows that one can't miss!

1 - The Hallowishes Fireworks show! This is a fireworks show on the main castle but with Halloween projections and Halloween themed music. I really wish I had the track to this fireworks display as I would totally jam out to it in my car haha.

2 - The Hocus Pocus Villian Spooktacular Stage Show. The Sanderson Sisters come back to life and try to brew the best Halloween party and to do this, they need the help of some of Disney's greatest villains. I honestly thought this would be cheesy, but they did a great job. They used Disney villains that would make sense like Dr Facilier a Voodoo/Witch Doctor and Oogie Boogie showed up. Maleficent showed up (another witch) and they all used their magic to help the Sanderson Sisters. Of course we had to incorporate other villians so eventually the rest showed up quick. No Ursula though which was kind of disappointing. But it was a can't miss event!

3 - The Boo To You Parade. It's a parade. It has Halloween characters haha that's all you need.

If you're ever able to attend one of these Halloween events, I HIGHLY recommend it! Scroll below for photos!
